So it's not a marathon.... not even a half marathon, but a measly 10K run! Dig deep and support me anyway!

I decided to support a cancer charity, and then saw the sad news about Mike Peters of The Alarm, who had battled cancer for years. It seemed like an opportunity to raise a few bob for his 'Love Hope Strength foundation', and also the Macmillan Cancer Support team, who have supported members of my family in recent years.

I actually met Mike a couple of times many moons ago, as an obsessive teenage gig-goer and in those days I would do the 'fan' thing and get T shirts and records signed by pretty much everyone I saw. That's why I'm offering a signed copy of their first single 'Unsafe Building/Up for Murder' to whoever donates the most by June 15th. (See photos for actual scrawl details). It comes with the ticket from the gig where I bought it in 1983.

For those of you who are perhaps a bigger 'Cud' fan than 'Alarm' fan, I'll offer a Cudband goody bag, including a signed 7" and other trinkets of merchandise, to the highest donation. Simply state 'Cud' or 'Alarm' when you make a donation through the 'JustGiving' page. If all else fails, I'll auction them off for the charities.
