This year I’ll be running the Warrington Half Marathon on the 22nd September and the Alton Towers Half Marathon on the 17th November in aid of the Douglas Macmillan Hospice in memory of my amazing mum.

In 2021 we lost mum to cancer. She decided she wanted to spend her final days at home and Dougie Mac were instrumental in making sure that was possible, providing the care and support she required. Their hospice at home carers made mum feel safe and cared for whilst keeping the family informed and supported.

Mum faced everything with grace and courage. One thing she asked of Lex and I was that we would raise money for the Dougie Mac hospice to ensure they can keep up their valuable work and support others through similar experiences.
