Virtually Cycle 24,901 miles!

The brilliant cycle community at Castle Royle Golf & Country Club have joined together to virtually cycle around the world in 80 days. It’s a mammoth challenge: 24,901 miles to circumvent the globe at its widest point!

The challenge takes place on exercise bikes in the cycle studio at the Castle Royle Golf & Country Club. To achieve our goal we need to cover the equivalent of 311 miles a day.

Going the distance to make a difference

We’ll push off on Monday 31 October 2022. Our cyclists would so appreciate your support and encouragement as they smash out the miles to raise money for local people living with cancer.

For people living with cancer

We’re doing this to raise funds for My Cancer My Choices (MCMC), a Berkshire based charity who provide complementary therapies for people with cancer.

Everyone knows somebody fighting some form of cancer. Like many, our lives have been impacted as a result of family, friends and work colleagues suffering with cancer. It affects the body, mind and spirit and MCMC passionately believes everyone with cancer should have access, from diagnosis, to complementary therapies. MCMC's volunteer, specialist therapists offer free, one-to-one treatments such as acupuncture and massage, alongside group courses in mindfulness and yoga. These aim to relieve the side effects of cancer treatment and can make the cancer journey easier by encouraging relaxation and reducing stress.
