Mike and Jason's Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge

Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge 2025 · 3 May 2025 to 4 May 2025 ·
Hi, we’re Mike and Jason, and we’re raising money for Alzheimer’s research in memory of our beloved stepfather Jeff.
Jeff was a kind and gentle man who raised us with love, patience, and quiet strength. As our stepfather, he played a big role in our lives, guiding us through the years and showing us what it meant to care deeply for family. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and his presence brought warmth and steadiness to all our lives.
Jeff lived with Alzheimer’s, and over time we saw this cruel disease slowly take away the man we knew and loved. Watching someone so caring and full of life struggle with this illness was heartbreaking.
Our connection to Alzheimer’s doesn’t end there. My mother-in-law, Liz Powell, is currently living with the disease, and other members of our family have also been affected. We’ve seen how Alzheimer’s impacts not just the person diagnosed, but the entire family, every single day.
To raise money and awareness, we’re taking on the Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge — a 64-mile trek around the entire island, which we’ll aim to complete in just 24 hours. It’s going to be tough, physically and mentally, but nothing compared to what those living with Alzheimer’s face every day.
We’re doing this in memory of Jeff, in support of Liz, and for all the families who are dealing with this devastating disease.
Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much to us and to everyone this cause touches. Thank you for your support.
With gratitude,
Jason and Mike
