I’m raising funds for Head to Toe, the charity supporting CPFT, because this cause means so much to me.
Last year, I went through one of the toughest times of my life, facing COVID-19, pneumonia, and a pulmonary embolism. There were moments when I truly feared for my life. What carried me through was the compassion, dedication, and kindness of NHS and other colleagues who cared for me and supported me every step of the way. Knowing this, I feel this challenge will be truly worthwhile.
Because of them, I’m here today, and I want to give something back. I also hope to represent the CPFT Diabetes Service Team in supporting this charity.
Head to Toe creates moments of care that go beyond treatment—bringing comfort, understanding, and support to patients, families, and NHS staff when they need it most.
