Story
It is with great sadness that I have to say that my wife's Aunt, Terri Chaffin passed away last week after many years of fighting Lewy Body Syndrome.
I will be riding in Terri's memory.
After raising nearly £900 for the British Heart Foundation and completing the London to Brighton Cycle Ride in June 2025, I’m now taking on a new challenge: a 100-mile race through the New Forest as part of the New Forest Tour this September. This time, I’m raising funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
Sadly, my extended family has been deeply affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. My wife’s Aunt has been diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia, and my grandfather’s partner of over 30 years is living with Alzheimer’s disease.
The impact on their lives—and on those who love and care for them—has been profound. I’m raising money to support vital research aimed at preventing, diagnosing, treating, and one day curing Alzheimer’s and related dementias.
