As many of you know I am a massive ‘Seagulls Fan’ and have followed Brighton & Hove Albion for over 45 years. I have had the privilege and the pleasure to meet and build amazing friendships over the years and more importantly from all walks of life. To be honest it has totally re-educated me to learn how some people have to go about their lives daily and so differently to mine, and something that I have learned to not take life so easily, for granted.

And for this reason, I want to raise some funds for a very local charity called ‘Forward Facing’

On the 19th May we play Manchester United in the last PL game of the season. As a season ticket holder with lots of miles travelled over the season, I shall be giving the car a well deserved rest.

Instead, I will leave my home a week before the match and head south and WALK to the stadium.

I will walk through London and have extended the challenge to visit ALL 19 London Football Clubs on the way through.

I will walk a minimum of 240 miles

I will tread a minimum of 522k of steps

I will walk a minimum of a marathon every day

I will burn around 29.5k in calories

I have written to all 20 clubs, the Premier League / the EFL and the National League and plenty of B&B’s and hotels and already I have received some very positive support.

I am very conscious with the current cost of living and the challenges it presents. Equally it would be fair to pause and reflect on the families in more challenging circumstances than many of us potentially will never experience, and just need a little act of kindness to help brighten their lives a little. Any amount would be greatly received and appreciated and even a £1 collectively would make a difference.

We make memories, build confidence, and support families facing difficult times.

We do this through workshops, Memory Making Days and fun days out for the whole family. We also hold special events for parents and carers.
