What Charity are we supporting?

- Family Legal Care is the only legal services organization in New York dedicated solely to assisting parents and caregivers to represent themselves in Family Court.

- Our mission is to increase access to justice in New York State Family Court.

- Barclays is a new pro bono partner of FLC and Barclays Legal provides vital legal advice and case preparation support to families involved in child support, custody/visitation or domestic violence cases.

- Unlike in a criminal court, most of these cases are not eligible for court appointed representation. As a result, over 80% of families come to Family Court without a lawyer.

- FLC supports over 28,000 families each year in high stakes cases that have a potentially lifelong impact, like having enough child support money to put food on the table or a safe home for a child to live.
