Story
This September, I'll be joining colleagues from the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and industry partners on an incredible charity cycle ride from Dunkirk to Waterloo and back again.
Over five days, we'll cycle more than 450 kilometres through France and Belgium, tracing a route rich in military history. Along the way, we'll pause to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, including at the historic site of the Battle of Waterloo.
This is the third annual DIO and Industry Partners charity cycle ride, and together we're aiming to help raise over £100,000 for The Veterans' Foundation. The charity provides vital support to veterans, serving personnel and their families through grants to organisations delivering practical help where it is needed most.
Having worked closely with the defence community for many years, I see first-hand the dedication and commitment of those who serve our country. Taking on this challenge is a small way of giving something back while raising funds for a cause that makes a real difference to the lives of veterans and their families.
The training, the hills, and the long days in the saddle will all be worthwhile if we can help support those who have served. Any donation, no matter how big or small, would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you for your support.
