Solo ride - London to Paris for Head for Change.

Mike Smith is raising money for Head for Change
Our goal is to create a safe space for our sporting heroes, past, present and future that suffer from sports-related brain injuries and connect with the best brains in science and research to make positive change.

Story

I am currently in the process of making plans for my longest ride to date. This won't be just any ride;

Starting from Trafalgar Square on the afternoon of Friday, 26th of June, I will be heading down to Newhaven, boarding the ferry to cross to Dieppe. Disembarking at 5 AM, I will continue my adventure to Paris, hoping to arrive by mid-afternoon on Saturday, 27th.

Originally planned as another solo adventure on two wheels, a suggestion was made that I take on this challenge in support of a charity. 'Great idea,' I thought...

...So... I was involved to a degree at the 'Head for Change' 828 challenge and was deeply inspired by the mission and impact they have.

This journey is not just about cycling; it’s about raising awareness and funds for those affected by brain injury.

Every pedal stroke will symbolize hope and resilience for individuals who face daily challenges due to their conditions. We often forget that some people give their all on the pitch to allow us on the sidelines to enjoy the sports we love, not just on the pitch but in all the sacrifices they make in their personal lives too.

I invite you to support me in this cause.

Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of many. Together, we can help Head for Change continue their vital work and bring light into the lives of those who need it most.

I may well share my live location as much as possible whilst on the road, if logistics allow.

Thank you so much, Mike Smith.
