After years of chasing a spot, I’m finally running the London Marathon and I’m proud to be doing it for Koala North West.

The London Marathon has always been a special goal for me, and now I get to run it for a cause I truly believe in.

Koala North West is a fantastic registered family support charity dedicated to strengthening families and helping them thrive across Wirral, Cheshire and Liverpool. They exist because every family can face challenges at different times, and no one should have to navigate those difficulties alone. At the heart of their work are three core areas of support: Family Support, SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and Early Years Services, all designed to meet families where they are, with compassion, practical help and evidence-based support.

I’ve supported them through various sporting events before because I’ve experienced firsthand how much of a difference they make. Koala NW was there when our son wouldn’t feed, they were there when our daughter struggled with her sleep and they were there when my wife needed understanding and support postpartum.

By fundraising for Koala North West, I’m helping to ensure families get the support they need to build confidence, reduce isolation, and give their children the best possible start in life.
