Story
Did you know that 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime? It looks like I’m now ‘the one of the eight‘. I’m currently in the midst of the Welsh Diagnostic Pathway for Prostate Cancer, having had a PSA test, MRI and now awaiting biopsy results, which I have been informed, may take up to 6 weeks in the Cwm Taf Health Board.
I’m taking on the Run 50 Miles in October challenge for PCR to make a small contribution to the funding of Prostate Cancer Research. I will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon, on the 5th October, as part of this challenge (I had a place prior to my diagnosis). It will not be a quick time but I will be proud to wear my PCR shirt as I plod along the streets of Cardiff and then the roads and beaches of Porthcawl through the remainder of October.
Please support me during this challenge by donating what you can to Prostate Cancer Research. Thank you for your support and get a PSA test if you haven’t had one recently and are over 50!
