🏅 Royal Parks Half Marathon – Complete! 🏅
I’m delighted to share that I successfully completed the Royal Parks Half Marathon this past weekend! Running through the beautiful parks of London was an incredible experience, and I couldn’t have done it without the amazing support from my friends, family, and generous sponsors.
I ran in support of Turkey Mozaik Foundation, and together, our team of runners has raised over £5,000 to help fund vital projects. I am so grateful to everyone who has contributed and helped make this possible.
If you’d still like to support the cause, my Go Fund Me page is still open. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a big difference.
A huge thank you once again to everyone who has cheered me on, donated, and helped us reach this milestone!
Now it’s time for a hard-earned glass of raki/large glass of red, or two!!
Hi Everyone,
It’s just four weeks until I’ll be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon, and despite not being a regular runner, the preparations are going well and I’ve become very familiar with some previously unknown streets and tracks around Ascot and Swinley Forest – no blisters or snake bites to report! (Wasn’t expecting to be running through a known snake habitat).
I’m supporting the charitable work of the Turkey Mozaik Foundation, to assist in their ongoing relief efforts after the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria in February 2023. The Foundation continues to provide vital assistance to those affected as they seek to return to some semblance of normal life, by offering hope and assistance to recover from the earthquake's aftermath. If you would like to know more about the charity and their work, please see www.turkeymozaik.org.uk
Naturally, any help and support would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Everyone,
On the 13th October, I'll be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to support the charitable work of the Turkey Mozaik Foundation, to aid ongoing relief efforts after the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria in February 2023. The Foundation was instrumental in providing vital assistance to those affected, including shelter, food, medical aid, and other facilities necessary to support life. The emergency may have passed and the headlines forgotten, but there remains a great deal to be done to help people in the region return to some semblance of normal life.
Turkey Mozaik Foundation is a charitable organization that aims to support civil society initiatives and local NGOs. This support enables these organizations to effectively address social, economic, and environmental issues in their communities. It prioritizes sustainable and long-term solutions by funding projects that are designed to create lasting change, ensuring that the impact of donations extends well beyond the immediate term. It works closely with local partners who have a deep understanding of the specific needs and challenges in their areas. This local expertise ensures that the projects are relevant and effective.
By participating in this run, I aim to raise awareness and funds to ensure that the Foundation can continue its essential work, offering hope and assistance to those still struggling to recover from the earthquake's aftermath. If you would like to know more about the charity and their work, a link can be found in the top-right corner.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated, and you can help further by reporting/forwarding-on this request to friends and colleagues.
On behalf of Turkey Mozaik and myself, many thanks.
Mike
