Thank you for choosing to support Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA). As a charity YAA relies on the generosity of individuals & organisations to help save lives across Yorkshire. Thank you from the team YAA.

Story

I am taking on the challenge of Ironman Hamburg, finally. Having talked about it for years and whenever asked, saying that I wasn't going to attempt an Ironman, I have finally caved. I have done half Ironman distance races before, so I have some idea what it will be like, but in many ways that is a bad thing as I know a bit of what is coming!

An Ironman triathlon consists of a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike and finishes off with a marathon (26.2 mile) run. Please sponsor me to help me get through this!

I am raising money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance as I believe they provide a crucial service and they operate purely on charitable donations. Without our support they could not provide a service which saves lives on a regular basis.

Update:

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me! It was an absolutely epic experience and I managed to complete the challenge in just 10 hours and 45 minutes. Knowing that I was raising money for such a good cause was definitely an extra motivating factor when it was getting difficult!
