Story

“Our Harrogate Sea Cadets Unit headquarters, TS Cleopatra, is in need of modernisation and improvement. We are raising funds to revamp our facilities, including the creation of a new engineering workshop, upgraded classrooms, a modern galley, and improved accessible heads (toilet) and shower facilities.
On the 12th of October, cadets, volunteers, and their families will come together for an exciting Rowathon, aiming to row the length of the River Severn—the longest river in Great Britain, stretching 220 miles (354 km)—using rowing machines in 30-minute intervals.
Do remember that lots of £5 donations add up to a lot of money so just a small contribution would be so welcome (but larger one's are very welcome too!)
I have 2 slots booked on the day and aim to row 6000 metres each time. That's 200 meters per minute which I can normally manage for 10 minutes!
As Chair of Trustees of T.S Cleopatra I couldn't be prouder of the effort that everyone involved in the unit as cadets, staff, trustees or parents are putting in to our fund raising efforts.
