STEPtember

You have the whole of September to take 250,000 steps and raise vital funds to transform children’s outpatients’ departments into a bright, colourful, and child-friendly environment, making it more engaging and less scary for children.

Story

Hospitals can be a scary place for children. That is why I am taking part in STEPtember 2024.

During September I will be walking 250,000 steps in support of the Children's Appeal.

The Children's Appeal supports the children's departments across the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital.

They create beautiful, welcoming and child friendly departments by creating bright murals and exciting waiting areas, including interactive projectors, to the children's departments, providing distractions for children waiting for appointments and help reduce the stress of a hospital visit.
