On Saturday the 21st of June a small group of people will be climbing Ben Lawers to raise vital funds for our Connect in the City event this Summer.

Connect in the City is a yearly event run by the Wheel Trust for local young people (in partnership with SU Scotland) where the cost of a regular SU holiday would be outside of family budgets. This year we have 34 local kids already booked on for our action packed 4 day event on 8-11th July.

Young people are present from 9am till 9pm and activities include climbing, watersports, graffiti and DJ workshops and a trip to M&Ds. We also take time each day to look at Bible stories and explore how they might be relevant for us today, hearing about some of the leader’s journeys of faith in Jesus too.

It costs the Wheel Trust around £200 per young person to put on this event, but we only charge £50 for the 4 days so finances are not a barrier to coming along. This is why fundraising is a vital part of our event. Thank you for your consideration!
