I'm running the Newcastle-Gateshead Marathon in May to raise money in memory of my friend Ollie.

Ollie struggled with gambling addiction and spent years supporting others affected by gambling harm through his work. When he tried to stop gambling himself using GamStop, he was still able to access offshore gambling websites operating outside UK regulation.

This gap in protection continues to affect people who are trying to quit. I want to raise awareness of this issue and raise funds for Betknowmore UK, a charity that provides peer support, education and prevention services for people experiencing gambling harm.
