Story
It turns out this is one of those “actions have consequences” moments.
It was summer. Light evenings, warm weather, good vibes. Someone casually asked, “Are you doing the Manchester Marathon?” And I thought… well, I’ve run 5K — what’s another 37K?
Delusion is powerful.
Fast forward to now: I’m 7 weeks into a 16-week training block. It’s winter. It’s dark. It’s cold. I am questioning every life choice that led me here.
So please — help me make this suffering mean something.
I’m running the Manchester Marathon to raise money for the incredible The Genie’s Wish, a charity that grants magical wishes and creates lasting memories for those who truly need them.
If I’m going to run 26.2 miles, the least you can do is sponsor me.
Every donation makes the miles feel a little less painful — and a lot more worthwhile.
