Story
Sue Ryder is here to make sure no one has to face dying or grief alone. They are there when it matters.
I'm incredibly proud to have been selected for the London Marathon 2025. I can hardly believe I'll be running this! Rewind two years, I was an alcoholic and heavy smoker with poor mental health. I would never have considered a run to the shop let alone 26 miles! In the recent years I've found exercise and firmly believe this has saved me. Lifes too short for regrets, I want to see my children grow up, enjoy life and take nothing for granted. Fundraising gives me a positive focus and such pleasure in knowing I can support the Leckhampton Court Hospice as they have done for people I have known/know.
With only a handful of half marathons under my running belt this will certainly be a HUGE challenge.
I intend on completing a number of other fundraising events from now leading upto the London Marathon 2025 with the aim of raising as much as possible for the Leckhampton Court Hospice. This fundraising will also be a family effort, with my children getting involved in charity car boot sales, Lidl Mudder and the starlight hike.
Any donation, no matter how small will be gratefully appreciate during my fundraising journey. Please join me in supporting Sue Ryder. Miles
