Nuclear Institute Young Generation Network present: Miles for Mental Health part 2!

Alanna Downing is raising money for Beat

Miles for Mental Health

Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. Our mission is to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders. These serious mental illnesses ruin and, too often, take lives. Our Helpline is available online or by phone for anyone suffering, as well as their family and friends.

Story

After the huge success of the Miles for Mental Health fundraiser for Mind in 2025, we're back and better than ever with a higher target of 1500 miles to raise money for Beat. Run, walk, cycle - anything counts towards our goal. Please join our Strava group here: https://strava.app.link/YZXmqZ6UF2b

What is Beat?

Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. Eating disorders are complex mental illnesses that can affect anyone. Right now, at least 1.25 million (1 in 50) people in the UK have an eating disorder – with millions of loved ones also affected. But there is hope. With better understanding, faster diagnosis and proper treatment, recovery is possible. Beat offer people emotional support and expert advice, and work to change policies, perceptions, and lives. Together, we’ll end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders 💜
