Our group has decided to complete a marathon to raise money for an amazing charity, The OSCAR Foundation, that is improving the lives of school kids and their families living in low income communities in India.

The OSCAR Foundation uses football to instil the value of education and empower underprivileged children with life skills to take responsibility for the development of their community.

OSCAR has one simple rule: No School, No Football.

Why have we chosen OSCAR? One member of our group has first hand experience of OSCAR's work, and have seen its impact on the communities in which it operates. She spent time with OSCAR in India, and her brother has volunteered in Mumbai playing football with the kids and helping them with their schoolwork.

On the 5th of May we will be walking a marathon through London. None of us have ever walked this far before, so this will be a major personal challenge! It will be hugely inspiring to know that we are doing it in aid of OSCAR. Any donation you can provide will be hugely appreciated by the OSCAR girls and boys and their families in India.

We are fundraising for the OSCAR Foundation and Mumbai City FC’s ‘Healthy Goals’ campaign. All donations will be matched by City Football Group to help create, healthy, safe spaces for OSCAR girls and boys to play football in urban Mumbai.

Legal Notice: *City Football Group Limited (CFG) will match donations to the Healthy Goals Programme made between March and September 2024, to a limit of £125k for any single Club or a maximum of £500k matched globally across all CFG Clubs participating in this round of funding.
