Story
As part of Remembrance Day and City in the Community's 40 Years Campaign, their Military Veterans participants will be taking on a Triathlon challenge walked a marathon to commemorate 80 years since the end of World War Two.
The challenge, which has become an annual activity, brings together CITC participants outside of their usual Tuesday night session.
This year, 11 participants will take part in a 40k run, 40k row and a 40k cycle, before taking part in the Matchday Remembrance Day activation.
Funds raised will support City in the Community's work of empowering healthier lives through football.
To bolster the campaign, Manchester City will be matching all fan donations made to CITC pound-for-pound* throughout the 2026/27 season.
*Manchester City will match donations made to Manchester City F.C. City in the Community Foundation (registered charity no. 1139229) during the period of 05 September 2026 to 31 May 2027 up to a maximum of £200,000 in total. All funds raised will help to sustain the charity’s programmes, which empower healthier lives with city youth through football.
