Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for the National Kidney Federation (NKF) in loving memory of my Nana, Hannah Chandler. Honestly, she would think that I was having a laugh if I had told her that I'm going to be skydiving from 15,000ft!

My Nana was a truly remarkable person. She was brave, supportive, loving, and selfless. She had the kindest heart and had a profound impact on everyone who knew her. Those who knew us well understood just how inseparable we were; she was like a second mother to me and my sister, Olivia.

She adored my late Grandfather, Norman, who I am also skydiving in honour of https://www.justgiving.com/page/milliemaeriley . Throughout his battle with Parkinson’s disease, she remained tireless and unwavering in her support. Losing Norman just before the lockdown in 2020 was incredibly difficult, yet Nana continued to inspire us all with her courage and positivity, always lifting our spirits in tough times.

In her later years, Nana faced her own health challenges with kidney problems, which led to high potassium levels and eventually placed a heavy strain on her heart. Although she never had the opportunity to learn about the National Kidney Federation, I believe she would truly admire its mission. The NKF is unique because it is run by kidney patients, for kidney patients, providing essential support and advocacy.

As a family, we deeply appreciate the invaluable work that this charity does. It aims to improve the lives of kidney patients by campaigning for better renal treatment and addressing unfair disparities in kidney care, dialysis, and transplantation.
