Story
This year around 80 members of Mills and Reeve staff will take to the Peak District to hike, paddleboard, kayak, canoe and tube in support of the charity Jamie's Farm.
Jamie's Farm helps disadvantaged and vulnerable children by providing week long placements where they are involved in all aspects of running a farm. The residential programmes combine Farming, Family, Therapy, and Legacy at the charity's farms in Bath, Hereford, Monmouth, Lewes, Skipton and Waterloo.
Farming - young people help out with all aspects of running a farm. This helps build their self-esteem and confidence as they see the results of their hard work.
Family - everyone works together, shares meals and supports each other when at the farm. This environment helps the young people develop meaningful relationships with both adults and their peers.
Therapy - each child receives flexible and responsive therapeutic support whilst at the farm. This is via both one to one and group sessions.
Legacy - Jamie’s Farm continues to encourage and support the young people once they return home, helping them apply what they’ve learned to their daily lives.
Thank you for your generous donations to help support this fantastic cause and enable more children to visit Jamie's Farm!
We'll also be running various fundraising activities in each office in the weeks leading up to and after the challenge.
