Story
Hi everyone,
I’m taking on the across-Wales walk from Aberhafesp to Montgomery to raise money for The Farming Community Network (FCN).
In recent times, our local area has been deeply affected by the loss of several people to suicide. It has highlighted just how much pressure many people, especially within rural and farming communities are under, often in silence.
FCN provides confidential emotional and practical support to farmers and farming families who may be struggling with mental health, isolation, financial worries, or the day-to-day pressures of rural life. Their work is vital, and in many cases, life saving.
This walk will be a real physical and mental challenge, but it feels like a positive way to turn something painful into something that can help others. Walking from Aberhafesp to Montgomery, through the heart of rural Wales, feels especially fitting for a cause that supports the people who live and work there.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small you’ll be helping FCN continue their essential work and reminding people that they don’t have to face things alone.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
