Story
I was recently diagnosed with endometriosis after years of being misdiagnosed and gaslit. It took sustained advocation, fatigue and stress to get an answer. However, many would consider my path to diagnosis relatively smooth. In fact, receiving an endometriosis diagnosis at the young age of 27 is still a rarity.
Endometriosis UK's recent report found that it now takes an average of over eight years to receive a diagnosis in the UK — that's far too long! This summer, I'm taking part in the Walk for Endo challenge to help raise awareness and vital funds. My goal is to support the 1 in 10 individuals on their journey with endometriosis and contribute to a future with quicker diagnoses and access to appropriate care.
