Story
On 17th September, we're taking on the Hadrian's Heroes Charity Walk along the breathtaking Hadrian's Wall National Trail to raise money for Samaritans York. The executive team will be walking distances of 20 miles, following one of England's most historic and scenic routes, passing ancient Roman forts, dramatic landscapes and iconic landmarks. This challenge will test our determination, endurance and teamwork, but every step we take will help support Samaritans' vital work, providing a listening ear to people struggling to cope and helping to prevent suicide. We'd be incredibly grateful for any donation, big or small, to help us reach our fundraising goal and support this life-changing charity. Thank you for your generosity and encouragement.
Life can be tough. Sometimes it feels like nobody else understands. If it’s all getting too much to handle you can talk to Samaritans. They won’t judge or tell you what to do. They’re there to listen so no-one has to face tough times alone. Every 10 seconds, Samaritans answers a call for help. Samaritans can be contacted round the clock, for free, on 116 123, day or night, 365 days a year. It’s only your donations and 23,000 listening volunteers that make sure Samaritans can be there for someone today, so they can believe in tomorrow.
