Teresa’s Conwy Half Marathon Challenge for Wales Air Ambulance

is raising money for Wales Air Ambulance Charitable Trust

Conwy Half Marathon 2026 · 15 November 2026

The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.

Story

This November, I’ll be taking on the Conwy Half Marathon — my first ever half marathon — to raise funds for Wales Air Ambulance.

This challenge came about after a brilliant weekend watching the Llandudno Triathlon & Duathlon, which once again highlighted just how important events like this are for our community. They bring people together, support local businesses, and showcase the very best of our town.

Somewhere in the middle of all that, Rheinallt decided I should sign up for 13.1 miles of running… and here we are.

The Wales Air Ambulance provides lifesaving emergency care across Wales, reaching people on our coastline, in rural areas, and in the mountains when they need it most. It is a service many of us hope we never need, but are incredibly grateful exists.

My current goal is to complete the half marathon in under 2 hours.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference and help support this vital service. I've set a ridiculously ambitious target of £1,000 for this amazing cause - and have four months to try and achieve it (between training sessions!)

Thank you so much for your support — and wish me luck!
