Wow! I feel so grateful that WheelPower have given me one of their places at this years London Marathon.

I just celebrated a BIG birthday (if you know you know 😉), which caused me to look again at my bucket list and the London Marathon has been on it for some time, so this is the year!💪

WheelPower are an amazing charity local to me, based at Stoke Mandeville Stadium. Although local to me, they are a national charity and support disabled adults and children all over the UK. WheelPower provides sporting opportunities to adults and children helping them discover sports, exercise, friends and generally have fun.

I recently visited one of their sports festivals at Stoke Mandeville stadium. I was humbled by the amount of children, and adults at the event with a disability and the amount of volunteers and helpers that were there to provide a fantastic fun day of sports, from badminton, basketball, boules and shooting! I was particularly humbled by a group of people in attendance from Stoke Hospital, people of all ages who had been in life changing accidents, one day they were fully able to go about their day and the next they are in hospital for months learning to adapt to life in a wheel chair.

Wheel Power relies on donations and grants, so I am training hard to make sure I can run the 26.2 miles and SMASH my fundraising target. With your support I know we can make a huge impact.
