Like most people, I used to think that arthritis affects only the elderly. However, I have been diagnosed with it at the age of 16 and have since met many young people whose lives are affected by this illness.

I will be cutting my hair short and donating it. Sometimes, the arthritis medication causes severe hair loss.

Kids Like Us is a local charity supporting young people and families living with juvenile arthritis in West Midlands. It was through them that I first met other young people in similar situation to mine which helped me feel less alone.
