Story
In April 2027, I’ll be taking on another challenge and running the 10th anniversary edition of the London Landmarks Half Marathon. I’ll be raising money for Samaritans, with a target of £500.
I’ve decided to run again because I want to keep doing what I can to support those charity's whose work I know can make such a difference.
I’m running in honour of my parents, who both suffered from depression and struggled with their mental health. Their experiences have made mental health and suicide prevention very personal to me.
Samaritans are there 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for anyone who is struggling, feeling lonely or simply needs somebody to listen. Donations help keep their vital listening service running, support the training of volunteers and contribute to their wider work around suicide prevention and mental health.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help me get closer to my £500 target and more importantly, help Samaritans continue to be there for people when they need it most.
Thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can. It really will make a massive difference and I’m incredibly grateful for your support.
Here’s to 13.1 miles. 🏃🏻♀️
