Story
Another year and the begging bowl is back out!
Now Lucas is a big boy he wants to raise some money ‘for the babies in the hospital’. After watching the London marathon he’s been inspired to run the mini great run - mainly because he thinks he’ll be on tv but not realising it’s longer than his usual 10 seconds running before he gets bored.
I’m also attempting my first half marathon and hopefully we can raise more money for a very worthy cause.
We were first introduced to Spoons when Lucas was born 8 weeks premature weighing just 3lb15. Spoons supported us in those first few weeks in intensive care at a time when it felt like we were watching our tiny baby boy fighting to survive on a daily basis and they have also continued to do so in the years afterwards.
From Christmas presents in hospital to community groups and trauma support this is an amazing charity that do so much for families experiencing neonatal care in Manchester.
Spoons' team of staff and volunteers are here to support families in Greater Manchester who are experiencing neonatal care.
