Story
In June 2026, I took on the Apex Forge Ultra Trek, pushing myself further than ever before in support of the Andy Cole Fund, working alongside Kidney Research UK. The challenge tested my physical and mental limits and reinforced just how important this cause is to me.
Now, I'm setting my sights on my next challenge: the London Marathon on 25th April 2027.
My goal is to raise a further £1,500 for the Andy Cole Fund and Kidney Research UK, helping to fund vital research into kidney disease, transplantation, treatment, and patient wellbeing.
This cause is deeply personal. Having had a father who lived with kidney disease, and a father-in-law who is currently living with the condition, I have seen first-hand the impact it has on individuals and families. Kidney disease affects millions of people, often silently, and the need for better treatments, greater awareness, and life-changing research has never been greater.
Andy Cole established the Fund to help improve the lives of those living with kidney disease and to support the groundbreaking research that brings hope to patients and their loved ones. Every donation helps move us closer to better outcomes, more successful transplants, and ultimately a future where kidney disease no longer changes lives.
The London Marathon will be another huge test of commitment, discipline, and resilience, but knowing that every mile can help make a difference will keep me moving forward.
Whether you supported my Ultra Trek challenge, have been affected by kidney disease yourself, are part of the football community inspired by Andy's story, or simply want to support a life-changing cause, I would be incredibly grateful for your donation.
Together, we can help fund research, support patients and families, and take another step towards finishing kidney disease for good.
Thank you for your support.
