Story
In April 2027, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the 10th anniversary edition of the London Landmarks Half Marathon and I will be doing it for the person who has given me everything: my beautiful mum.
Right now, she is in the middle of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Watching someone you love battle cancer is one of the hardest things I have ever experienced. However, she has shown more courage than I ever knew possible, and it has changed how I see her, and how I see life.
That’s why I’m running for Breast Cancer Now. They are there for families like mine, offering support and care, while working towards a future with better treatments for everyone.
Every one of those 13.1 miles will be for my mum, and for everyone else on their own breast cancer journey. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for whatever you’re able to give. It means more than words can say.
