ONE MAN & HIS TOMCAT 2025 - CHARITY M/BIKE RIDE for Alzheimer's Society

Long Distance Motorbike Ride - Lands End to John O'Groats and then Ardnamurchan Point to Ness Point · 21 June 2025
I’m Michael O’Connor (MJOC):
On Saturday 21 June 2025, I’m hoping to ride my £600 1988 Kawasaki (Ron the) Tomcat from Lands End to John O’Groats in the 24 hours of the Summer Solstice.
The next day I’ll move across the Highlands of Scotland ready for the next leg of my trip. The following day, I travel from Ardnamurchan Point (furthest point West on UK mainland) to Ness Point, Lowestoft (furthest point East).
If I make it in one piece (the bike from Rock & Motorcycle, Colne will be fine) we’ll be home in Pendle the next day!
Total mileage c2,250 miles
This trip is self-funded and unsupported.
This ride is to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society who, for over 40 years, has been a powerful force for change, improving the lives of people living with dementia. My family has been impacted by dementia:
my Mum, Patricia O'Connor,
my uncle, Robert Michel (here pictured as a young man),
and more recently my uncle, Ron Huckstep,
- as have so many other families.
Any donations will help increase dementia diagnosis rates and enable people to get seamless support. The Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. The Society do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
I'm also trying to raise for some funds for a local primary school, in Barnoldswick, to buy iPads for the pupils - please see www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/mjoc-one-man-and-his-tomcat-mbikeride-stjosephs-ipads-2025
THANK YOU in anticipation of your support - MJOC
