Welcome to our Team Myeloma UK 2027 London Marathon page!

Story

Hi everyone, and thank you for visiting my page.

In 2017, my world changed when my amazing mum was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. If you are not familiar with it, myeloma is a complex and currently incurable form of blood cancer.

Watching someone you love face a diagnosis like this was incredibly tough. But over the last nine years, my mum has shown what true resilience looks like. Her strength, grace, and stubborn optimism through treatments and the ups and downs of living with cancer have been truly inspiring. She is the reason I will be racing in the London Marathon. She is my why.

Why Myeloma UK?

Because this cancer doesn’t get nearly enough attention. The lack of awareness can lead to delayed diagnoses (my mum was wrongly being treated for sciatica for two years before her eventual diagnosis).

Myeloma UK is a phenomenal charity doing vital work. They are dedicated to:

• Funding critical research to find newer, kinder treatments (and hopefully, one day, a cure).

• Raising awareness so patients are diagnosed much sooner.

• Providing invaluable support to patients and their families so no one has to go through this alone.

The progress made since my mum’s diagnosis in 2017 is amazing, but there is still so far to go.

The Challenge

We've all heard of the London Marathon. We all know it's going to be tough. Some of you may have experienced it. If my legs can't me over the line then my stubbornness sure will.

How You Can Help

I am aiming to raise £4,000 to help Myeloma UK continue their life-changing work.

Every single donation, no matter how small, makes a massive difference. If you aren't able to donate, sharing this page with your friends and family would mean the world to me.

Thank you so much for your support, your kind words, and for standing with me, my mum, and everyone affected by myeloma.

See you at the finish line! I will be there!
