Story
I am fundraising £300.00 by completing a 10K walk on the 20th of November 2025 to raise awareness about autism.
Autism is a spectrum, and each autistic person experiences it differently. As the saying goes, “When you’ve met one autistic person, you’ve met one autistic person.” Many individuals are diagnosed later in life and often do not receive the love, compassion, and understanding they need to live as their true, authentic selves.
Autistic people frequently mask their traits in order to fit into societal expectations. However, rather than expecting them to adapt, we should be expanding our understanding of autism and fostering a world rooted in compassion, acceptance, and inclusion-one that allows autistic individuals to thrive as they are.
The National Autistic Society provides vital support to autistic people, including help with education, employment, and daily living needs.
Please consider learning more, donating, and supporting this important cause. Your contribution can make a meaningful difference.
Thank you.
