🚩 MKB Solicitors Take on the Lake District 5 Peak Challenge for the British Heart Foundation 🏔️❤️

On 20th September 2025, a team from MKB Solicitors will be lacing up their hiking boots again and taking on the Lake District 5 Peak Challenge — a demanding trek across some of England’s highest and most iconic peaks — in support of the British Heart Foundation.

This challenge is particularly close to our hearts. We are doing this in loving memory of our dear friend and colleague, Jane Munden, who sadly passed away in 2024. Jane was not only a brilliant solicitor but a deeply valued member of the MKB family, known for her compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication to her clients and colleagues. Her loss has left a space that can never be filled — but we walk in her honour, with every step a tribute to her life and legacy.

A little bit about Jane - Qualifying as a Solicitor on 1st November 1994, Jane has spent the last 30 years as a leader in the field of family law in the South Yorkshire region. Jane joined Barnsley firm Newman and Bond upon qualification and over the next four decades has subsequently represented clients who found themselves in family disputes with great skill and determination, proving herself to be a respected and accomplished solicitor with a fantastic reputation spreading far and wide.

Jane soon progressed through the ranks of Newman and Bond to become an Equity Partner in 2001 and, alongside her fellow Partners, led the firm over the coming years to great success. Jane remained at the forefront of the legal community in all that time.

Jane was instrumental in bringing about Newman and Bond’s merger with Ridley and Hall Solicitors in 2021 which coincided with the retirement of her long-standing partners. Then seeking a fresh challenge, Jane joined MKB in October 2023 and she instantly became an extremely valued member of the team.
