Whilst being an experienced runner, in December 2023 incurred a serious & disabling quad tendon rupture that required surgery, a lot of physio and halted my participation in running events. This was my 2nd such injury having similarly injured my right knee in 2020.

The 2026 AJ Bell Great Manchester Run will be my first event in 2.5 years and I'm combining this with an opportunity to to raise vital funds for Pets Foundation, to continue helping pets and the people that love them.

Pets Foundation rely on donations to continue our work across the country. Every pound raised enables them to continue to help pets and people who need our support. Your donation supports the Foundation's grant programme and community partners across the UK.

A £5 donation can pay for a working assistance dog for a day and a £20 donation can fund an emergency vet appointment for a dog in need.
