Something strange is stirring in Airdrie…
This October, Monklands Light Opera will bring The Witches of Eastwick to Airdrie Town Hall, 8th–10th October 2026 — but before we can bring Eastwick to Airdrie, we thought we’d make the journey there ourselves.
Or at least… try.
Our cast of 31 are taking on one devilishly ambitious challenge:

🌎 3,100 miles
📅 21 days
Together, we'll walk, run, dance and move the equivalent distance from our home in Airdrie all the way to Eastwick, Rhode Island, USA — tracking our progress along the way to see where our collective footsteps take us.
And we need your help to get there.
Monklands Light Opera is a volunteer-led community theatre company, and producing a full-scale musical takes a huge amount of work both on and off stage. Sets, costumes, scenery, props, musicians, technical equipment and everything else that transforms an empty stage into another world all come at a cost.
By sponsoring our journey, you'll be helping us raise vital funds towards our production of The Witches of Eastwick, while cheering our cast on through 21 days and seven million steps.
We'll be sharing updates throughout the challenge as we leave Airdrie behind, cross the miles and creep ever closer to Eastwick.
