Story
MMA Offshore's UK team are taking on a challenge to "Walk to HQ". The aim is to walk, cycle, run or swim the theoretical distance from our Aberdeen office to our Head Quarters in Perth.... Australia!! A grand total of 14,614km!
The challenge commenced on April 1st and a number of our MMA team will also be taking part in the Aberdeen Kiltwalk event on June 1st, to help add to the tally!
MMA have chosen to raise funds for the RNLI, a charity that is close to many of us and aligns well with the MMA business. The RNLI is a charity that helps saves lives at sea, through a variety of initiatives, and one which is continually looking for support to help with education, training and maintenance.
For some perspective, in the UK and Ireland, 140 people die by accident in the water each year.
This needs to change and thanks to your help, it can.
With 46 lifeboat stations in Scotland which are crewed by volunteers, the RNLI provides a 24 hour search and rescue service. We rely on the support of our local communities to power our lifesaving service. Your support will help the running of lifeboat stations in Scotland and, ultimately, help to save lives.
How your support helps:
- £20 could go towards spreading lifesaving water safety advice.
- £50 could go towards training, kit and equipment for our lifesavers.
- £150 could go towards lifesaving innovation and technology.
