Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

At Moneyweb, we’ve chosen to dedicate this year to supporting a charity close to our hearts. We’ve decided to take on the Whitby-to-Scarborough stretch of the Cleveland Way to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

MND is a cruel disease that takes away movement, speech, and independence. Rob Burrow, the former Leeds Rhinos rugby league legend, has become one of the most inspiring figures in the fight against motor neurone disease (MND). Diagnosed in 2019, Rob’s courage, positivity, and determination have shone through despite the devastating effects of this condition. Alongside his close friend and former teammate Kevin Sinfield, Rob has inspired millions. Kevin’s extraordinary fundraising challenges have motivated us to undertake a challenge of our own.

By supporting the Motor Neurone Disease Association, you’re giving more than a donation — you’re giving hope. Your kindness funds the care, equipment, and support families depend on, and powers research that brings us closer to a cure.
