Fundraising Night · 18 October 2024

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

We are hoping to raise a load of money for the MND Association with a fundraising night on Friday October 18th. We have a brilliant band performing who will keep you entertained all night. A raffle and Tombola will be held to raise more funds, together with light refreshments for sale. There is a licensed bar so plenty of fun and great dancing to be had.

We are doing this as there are members of our local community living with this disease; this has a devastating effect on their lives and their families.

I originally planned the fundraising evening to do something positive for my lovely friend Dianne who was diagnosed 5 years ago. She has a fantastic family and a dedicated team of personal carers supporting her day to day. We all need something good to look forward to and this event has done that. However, when I began to ask for donations towards the raffle, not only was I blown away by the generosity of the local community but many people who contacted me did so because they had a personal connection to someone with MND and wanted to help. This made me realise that even in our relatively small community of Wombourne, the devastation this disease causes affects so many.

Please help us to raise as much money as we can.

The MND Association offer help and support; they fund research, support clinical trials and campaign for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Your money will help people affected by Motor Neurone Disease. Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to the MND Association. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure, your details are safe - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Thank you again
