On August the 9th, I will be taking part in the Big Ride For Palestine 2025, riding across London with hundreds of other cyclists to raise awareness/money for the Gaza Sunbirds. The team was founded by Alaa al-Dali, an Olympic hopeful cyclist, after he was shot in the leg by an Israeli sniper in 2018. He went on to establish an amputee cycling team within Gaza who now do their best to deliver much needed supplies on their bicycles to communities that have been completely cut off and are otherwise inaccessible.

The situation in Gaza is beyond dire with no food, medicine or basic aid being allowed to enter in over 2 months. Just 2 days ago, the United Nations described the besieged Gaza Strip as the “hungriest place on Earth” and the territory's entire population face “catastrophic hunger.” Every £ will make a difference to Palestinian men, women and children trapped without safe zones, without shelters and without functioning hospitals.
