In California, many people fled their homes with only a few minutes notice and are now finding safe shelter, food and comfort at Red Cross evacuation shelters. In Sonoma County, 180,000 people have been forced to evacuate – making it the largest mass evacuation in the county’s history.

The Red Cross is providing care for evacuated pets and animals too; people can rest assured knowing their furry loved ones are also safe.
