Story
On the 27th April this year, I will be running the London Marathon 🏃🏼♀️ I was fortunate enough to get a ballot place, however, I am going to be raising money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance . This charity is very close to my heart as they came out in attempts to save my dad’s life in January 2024. Although sadly at the young age of 56 my dad unexpectedly and peacefully passed away at home. My dad had every best chance with the thanks to the air ambulance. The air ambulance didn’t just leave after he died, they were there for weeks for us as a family after our world had completely been turned upside down. The air ambulance rely on donations to be able to keep operating so every little helps and you never know when you might need them.
Whilst the London Marathon is a huge challenge, I am so determined to push through and try my hardest to get myself across the finish line to prove to myself and anyone else you can achieve anything you set your mind to despite how hard it gets. It is not going to be easy, especially when you have rheumatoid arthritis and no immune system 🥲I’d appreciate any donations, every little helps🩷
Thank you for taking the time to read my story ❤️
East Anglian Air Ambulance receives no regular government funding and relies entirely on the support of the community.
They provide advanced critical care, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to the most seriously ill and injured people across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire by air and by road. Their crews are called to, on average, 8 critical emergencies a day, with each tasking costing in the region of £4,250.
Thank you so much for your support.
