Story
Following the Kirmington teams successful Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge in 2023 and as part of their continued support for local charity Jerry Green Dog Rescue, on the 11th July the Kirmington team are taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge with aim of completing it in the 24 hour deadline. The challenge involves climbing the 3 tallest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales including Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon!
The team consists of 8 staff from the north Lincolnshire branch including Tom Coome, Emma Smyth, Matt weeks, Georgia Stark, Hollie Marshall, Andrew Fletcher, Jake Lees and their dedicated support driver Mollie Burton.
Many practice walks have been undertaken throughout 2024 with the team completing circuits around Old Glossop, Giddy Edge and Dovestone Reservoir. In June they’ll take on one of the 3 peaks themselves in Scafell Pike for a solo test run to ensure they complete the singular walk in the time projected during the challenge of 4 hours up and down!
All members of the team are determined to push themselves and complete one of the UK’s most difficult endurance challenges with the goal of raising as much in donations as possible.
