Rowans Hospice provides end-of-life care across Southeast Hampshire, bringing comfort, dignity and compassion to people when they need it most. This care is only possible because of the kindness of our community. Your support helps us be there for patients to make the most of every moment.

Story

I want to be able to give back to Rowans Hospice who did so much for our family in 2025 and continue to do so. I’m taking on an exciting challenge in May 2026 and have signed up to the following events over a 13 day window:

3rd May - Southampton Half Marathon

9th May - London Tough Mudder

10th May - Portsmouth Race for Life

16th May - Jurassic Coast Marathon Walk

I’ve set a goal of £2000 in the hope to raise funds for Rowans in their cause to support families through end of life care and grief counselling.

I’ll be doing all of the events in memory of my lovely dad who we lost in May. The marathon walk is in Weymouth which holds lots of fond memories for me and my family so it seems fitting to end the challenge there probably incredibly achy and sore!

I’ll be doing the marathon and half with my bestie Jordan Dore and my girls Mila and Rosalie will be doing the Race for Life with me - I will set them up with a Just Giving Page nearer the time. Lauren Arber will be doing the Tough Mudder with me so I’ll have lots of support to get through it all.

I appreciate times are hard at the moment but myself and Rowans would be so incredibly grateful for any donations you can spare to give. Thank you for reading and please do share if you can ♥️

What Rowans do:

Rowans Hospice provide palliative care to the highest quality for those living with a life-limiting illness in South East Hampshire. Our hospice carers help improve quality of life for the patient by easing physical symptoms and offering psychological, spiritual and social support to both patients and their loved ones. Hospice care is available round the clock. We receive a very small level of statutory support from the Government, however, almost all of the money needed to provide our services has to be raised through donations and fundraising
