Story
I’m riding 100km along the Thames Path on a 20-inch unicycle — no gears, no coasting — just constant pedalling for hours (with a few well-earned stops along the way!), on the summer solstice this June.
I’m doing this to raise £2,000 so more children at my primary school can join our unicycle club.
The club is hugely popular, but we don’t currently have enough unicycles for everyone who wants to take part.
With your support, we can buy new unicycles and give more children the chance to get involved.
All funds go through the school’s charity (RSA), helping ensure every donation makes a real difference.
Why this matters
I’ve been running unicycle clubs in London primary schools for over 18 years, mostly self-funded.
Over that time, I’ve seen how much it builds confidence, resilience and joy in children — especially those who might not always find their place in traditional sports.
The demand is always there. The limiting factor is equipment.
What your donation could fund
Every donation will go directly towards equipment for the club:
£150 – a full unicycle
£20 – a new saddle
£15 – a tyre
£10 – pedals
£5 – an inner tube
Every contribution, big or small, helps more children take part.
As part of the challenge, I’ll also be organising a short ride at a local park near the school, where children from the unicycle club will each ride around 1km — giving them a chance to be part of the journey too.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page — any support you’re able to give will make a real difference.
